Monday (the 19th) I stayed home and worked on the yard mostly, and did cleaning that wouldn't be undone by the end of the week. I was going to make a trip up the city, but I knew I'd have to go again later in the week, so I decided to just go to the pool store. We bought a solar cover for the pool. I also blogged a lot. That's about it. I took a lot of pictures in the garden.

I planted cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon, and I honestly can't remember where I planted them. However I have at least one of each that has come up.

The pool is officially open. But freezing cold, so we decided to get the solar cover to warm up the water. That way we can use the pool longer during the season.

When the boys got home from school they started on all the jobs the signed up to do to get ready for the weekend They were excited to earn some beans. That night Aaron brought home those huge apples, and we put the solar cover on the pool to warm it up. Aaron was on call, but didn't have to go in until the morning.
Tuesday I was excited to start a pilates class again. It's been almost a year! It was quite difficult to get back in it. I was pretty sore that night and the next day. It felt good. We took a week off of preschool, although I said I was available if anyone was able to drop their kids off. I mostly just found things to clean up. Then the typical after school piano pick up and library pick up. Then home again for dinner prep. It was a Relief Society night, and I barely made it there in time. There was already a lot of people there because the email said 6:30 instead of 7:00 - oops! It think the night went really well. Aaron got there a little after 7:00 and took Melanie. We had three classes about food. The first one Jennie taught about canning. Then Celise talked about dehydrating. Lastly Shannon talked about meal plans. I learned something from each of them. I think those that went enjoyed it as well. We were done just after 8:00, and there was very little clean up. I loaded kids in the van and we headed home. Aaron was on call, but didn't have to go in that night.
Wednesday was another great day, a morning workout and pilates, then home to get more things ready for the weekend. That's all I can think of really. It looks like I did get to pick some strawberries though.
The boys had scouts that night, except Aaron was teaching first aid to the young women for camp pre-certification at another building, so I had to the drop off and pick up. Aaron didn't get called in that night either.
Thursday was another busy day. I started doing more outside work like weeding. After the kids got home I got them a snack and some instructions. Then I left David in charge and took Melanie with me. I went out with the missionaries again. Melanie was a little bit of a distraction. But I was able to contribute to the lesson about the word of wisdom and the law of chastity. I was still able to get dinner on the table at a reasonable hour. We continued to work on the yard, getting it ready. Once again Aaron didn't have to go in to the hospital after he got home, but he did come home late because he had to see someone in the hospital. It was a relatively easy call week, at least after hours.
Friday was a little busier. After a morning shopping trip to the city, I did a lot of weeding. I was waiting for Melanie to wake up so I could pick up chairs at Chelle's. However she didn't wake up until about 2:30. By then Chelle was picking up Sophie from school, so I waited until the boys came home. I gave them a snack and then I left them home while I took the girls to pick up the chairs. I needed to fold down the seats in the back to fit the chairs in, so I couldn't take the boys with me. I'm glad David is old enough to stay home for a bit, however he needs to learn how to be in charge without being bossy. I stayed a little longer chatting with Chelle, and then Melanie had a messy diaper. The boys were alive when I got back, but not really happy. Oh well. I guess I can't leave them for very long. We worked on cleaning up the house and the rest of the yard, and then ate dinner.
We harvested these radishes for dinner - yum!
Aaron brought home these flowers for me.
