Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day 2018

Monday morning The kids were up pretty early. Aaron went into work. He was on call until 5:00 pm. That meant it was pretty much up to me to get dinner ready. The kids helped somewhat. Mostly by taking care of Allison.
Allison loves music and was dancing, so I took a video.

Google made this animation from the video.

Long story short, we had Christmas Eve dinner with Cindy and Sharon again. It's become a tradition. I suppose.
The food was great, although I forgot to do a veggie tray.

Not all of the food fit on the table. Someone at work gave Aaron some tamales, so we had those too.

After we were stuffed we went downstairs and acted out the Nativity. Amy was in charge this year, and she was upset that she couldn't find the script she had prepared. It turned out fine of course, but she was nervous.
Timothy played Joseph, and Michelle was Mary.
I got to be a shepherd, along with Melanie.
Aaron, Melanie and David were wise men. Amy made those crowns.

Michelle loved using the empty wrapping paper tube after the shepherds were done.

Then they threw the hay.

Aaron took Cindy and Sharon home, and we cleaned up a little. Then we opened our traditional Christmas Eve gift of new pajamas.

While I was taking care of Allison, David and Timothy helped Aaron bring all of the presents downstairs.
Allison tried to open presents early.

After all kids were in bed we waited for Santa. Aaron was particularly excited about the family Santa gift. I was ready for bed by 10:00, but Aaron wanted to get the 3D printer all set up and ready to go in the morning. He found something small to print to make sure it was ready. I went to bed, and he came up when it was finished.
The kids were up early of course, and some had to wait longer than others. We just about took the picture without Allsion, but then she woke up too.
6:45 am!
The kids found their stockings and Santa gifts

We had some breakfast of cold cereal and whatever was in our stockings, and the nuts on the table. Then we opened presents.

I finally got to surprise Aaron with a gift.

Allison finally crashed in my arms. I dozed off too.
 Michelle loved her fairy costume

We had a few more gifts for Allison after her nap. Amy has a seahorse just like this.
Aaron had this picture of us printed on canvas!
Playing with silly straws
I was inspired by a friend to put some potpurri on the stove.

Amy wanted to take pictures of the LEGO set she built

Somehow Allison got a hold of candy canes

That afternoon I think we watched Cars 3, and played games.
The sister missionaries came over for dinner that night. It was supposed to just be leftovers, but Aaron wanted to try out the pizza peel, so we had pizza too. They were mesmerized by the 3D printer.
 It was a fabulous Christmas.
