Hot Temps = Lots of Time in the Pool

Monday Michelle woke up super early. I told her to go wait downstairs. I found her asleep on the couch when I finally got up.
I did some shopping. I went to Fred Meyer for the first time in about a month. We hit a couple of other stores as well. Then it was home for a pretty boring normal day. Lots of swimming this week. More 100+ temperatures.

Allison loves playing with her toes.

We finally convinced Michelle she could get in the water with floaties on
We played Twister for FHE activity that night.
Tuesday I had Allison's check up. It was a couple weeks late. I forgot to check 4 weeks before, and then Dr. M was out of the office for a bit. But we finally got her in. I got to go by myself since Timothy was home to take care of the girls. So it was just Allison and I. I dropped of some soda at Aaron's office first and then we got checked in and vitals done. She was now 16 lbs! She just keeps growing. Not as big as Timothy at this age though. He was 19.5 lbs at 4 months! She did great with her check up, and then she got her shots. She cried for a bit, but then was fine. We went to visit Aaron after we were done. It was kind of nice not to have to stop and get token for the kids. I could just walk right out! I had thought about stopping at Safeway on the way home, but I didn't.

It was also prime day, so Aaron and I texted throughout the day when we saw deals we wanted. We got a few things including an anniversary gift for each other.

It was another hot day, and another day in the pool!

Allison woke up and grabbed onto the rails of the cradle, and then fell back asleep. It was so cute!
This was also a cute one!

That night was Relief Society night. We were having a movie night at Chelle's. I didn't want to have Allison interrupt the movie, and I didn't want to spend the entire time out in the hall, so Aaron convinced me to leave her home with him. I was a little nervous about that. Not that I didn't think he would do a great job of taking care of her, but it was just hard to leave her. He had a bottle and breast milk I had pumped, but I still was nervous. He did text me a picture saying that she was fine, and I enjoyed the movie. Tish had put together some snack bags with chocolate drizzled pretzels and peanut M&M's. There was also zucchini bread and popcorn.Tish had also made some mint lemon and cucumber water, it was very refreshing. After the movie, we chatted for a bit. But I knew Allison would be hungry, so I told them I had to go.

Allison was fine, but she didn't like the bottle, and Aaron had given her some rice cereal. She seemed to like it. She she was definitely wanted me to nurse her when I got home. She fell asleep after that.

Wednesday was pretty normal as well. The BYU store was having a sale so we got a few items for the family. I think we went to the library that day. That night was mutual. Timothy had been working at finishing on several requirements, so Aaron did the final fitness test with him before mutual. A sub 9 minute mile is much better than the 14 minute miles he used to run during intermediate school.

Thursday Aaron took the car in for an oil change, and I had Shannon over for lunch. We had turkey bacon ranch flat bread sandwiches. I made a cookie bar for dessert. She brought Brooklyn and Brynn with her. The girls played and Shannon and I got to talk. It felt like I hadn't had a chance to talk to her since school got out. She is in primary now, so we don't get to talk much on Sunday. I had to convince David that he had to come home from camp over the weekend.

That night was book club. It was as Joan's house. I took Allison with me. We only had a few people there. Joan, Jane, Bonnie L*, me and Sandi. It was fun to talk with those ladies. We spent a fair amount of time talking about my trip to Hawaii, and Sandi's cancer treatments. Aaron got home after I left since he works late on Thursdays now. When Aaron tried the cookie bar he declared it was the best he'd ever had.

Friday Aaron left early to drive to Portland for a training. That afternoon Amy invited Dani over to play. We went swimming again.

This time Timothy went with us.
Eventually Dani went home and we had dinner, and I don't remember much else. Aaron got home and started call immediately. And that's that!

Quick Weekend

Saturday morning I took the girls over to the neighbor's house to feed the dog and kittens. It was pretty crazy. Fred is a little hyper, and likes to jump on people. I was wearing Allison in the carrier, and Melanie and Michelle were terrified of Fred. Amy tried to be brave and protect them from Fred. But it took a really long time to get all of the girls to walk to the house from the gate and back again after the kittens were done eating. I was glad I wouldn't have to bring the girls the next day since Timothy would be back.

We did some yard work, and chores. Timothy got home from camp around 1:00. David didn't get home until 3:30.
It was super hot, so we went swimming again. Aaron even got in. The boys had a dance that night, so we had dinner, and then they went to the dance. I don't remember much else.

Sunday after breakfast I took Amy and Timothy with me to feed Fred. I wished I had left Amy home. I thought it would be easier without the little girls there, and it was, but now Amy was the one Fred picked on, and it still took forever to get up to the house. Eventually we finished and went back home to get ready for church.

David packed his stuff into the back of the Yukon, and we headed to church. He left after sacrament again. Then it was Sunday School, and Relief Society. I had Allison in my Sunday School class, until Aaron came to get her. Then I taught the Relief Society class. It's been a long time since I have taught in Relief Society. I think the lesson went really well, and then I went and got Allison. I think she was still asleep, but work up when I put her in the Yukon. We headed home and had lunch and I fed Allison.

I don't remember the details of the rest of the day, but Aaron did cut these lilies so we could enjoy them at the dinner table.

All in all it was a good Sunday. It was still hard to have David gone for another week.

Scout Camp and Girls' Camp

Monday Aaron left early to take Timothy to the church. They were leaving for scout camp at 5:30 am or something crazy like that. I stayed home with the girls that day. I don't remember if we just weeded in the garden, or hung out at home. We played, read, napped etc. Enjoying 90 degree temperatures as the 100's were coming up soon.

Tuesday we went up to the city for shopping. I had to adjust for not having the boys there, and Aaron being gone for half of the week as well. I picked up some ice cream for them to take to girls camp on Friday. Later when I got home, I decided to cut back the neighbor's raspberries since they were in the way of the sprinkler, so the tomatoes and melons weren't getting watered properly. I tried using the machete, but it wasn't sharp enough. I just ended up using the clippers.

That afternoon I got an automated call saying that I had a hospital bill that was over due (this was from Allison's birth 4 months earlier). I had just paid it the week before. So I thought that was curious. I found the email confirmation and called the hospital billing number. They had no record of the payment. The confirmation number didn't yield any results. I looked up my credit card info and the payment had gone through 5 days earlier. The lady said to fax them a copy of my credit card statement, they wouldn't accept an email. So I had to make a pdf of the statement, email it to Aaron, and have him fax it. I had to explain what was going on. Incidentally that night Aaron had a hospital board meeting, and happened to sit next to the hospital CFO. He mentioned the situation to her, and she said she'd take care of it. It's nice to know people in high places sometimes. I haven't gotten a call back, so I assume it was taken care of.

On Wednesday Aaron went to work, but as soon as he was done with call he headed up to scout camp. I had Bryawna come over to watch the girls while I went to my dentist appointment. I took Allison with me. I was hoping she would stay asleep through the appointment, but she didn't sleep for long. She slept while I waited, and did my xrays, but woke up soon after they started the cleaning. She was content while she cleaned my teeth, but was getting fussy, so rather than start the polishing, we stopped, and I nursed her. Then she did the polishing while I held her on my lap. We also did the Dr. exam like that. Everything looked good, so that was quick and easy.

I was out by the pool, I can't remember why, and Allison rolled over on her blanket, and then stopped when her legs hit the grass.
 It was a funny sight

Thursday Aaron took some pictures at scout camp.

 metalwork

 leatherwork
Meanwhile I had fun with the girls. I needed to make another trip to the city. I picked up the underwater camera pictures, and a made a couple more stops. Then we had frozen yogurt for a treat before heading home for lunch. Yes we ate dessert first.
Melanie loved working on her Kindergarten workbook. Allison spends a lot of time on her tummy now that she can roll over both ways.

 More scenery from scout camp

Getting the girls ready for bed

 Michelle and that cheesy grin!!!
I got to chat with Aaron over WiFi. He ended up working as a medic that day. He was pretty tired. He sent me a screenshot the next day of his almost 29,000 steps! Thursday was supposed to be book club, but that got moved to the following week, so I was just home with the girls.

Friday Aaron was still at Scout camp

There's David serving breakfast Friday morning.

It was going to be over 100 again so we went swimming before lunch. We got a new pool umbrella,so I set that up, and the pool needed more water. After Allison fell asleep, even I got in the water.
When she woke up we went inside and had lunch.

Aaron took this picture of a plane flying overhead at camp. Lincoln and Loren camp and picked up the ice cream, and a change of clothes for Aaron since he'd only brought scout uniforms. He called when he got in cell phone range. It was great to hear his voice. He wouldn't be home until late that night, but it was nice to talk to him.
It only got hotter outside
Cute pictures of Allison. Love the onesie!
Aaron took a few pictures at girls' camp

I enjoyed a beautiful sunset that night.
Aaron got home late that night. It was a busy and fun filled week.
